Dangerously His by A.M. Griffin
Justin “JB” Blake has never met a woman he couldn’t bed—or one he wants to keep. That changes the second he lays eyes on Princess Saia Xochis. The beautiful alien makes his body burn and his heart ache. She will be his. All JB has to do is risk life and limb at the hands of her abusive father, her protective brother, and her warmongering intended mate.
The possibilities of death and dismemberment have never stopped him before.
Inside Scoop: This book has a small taste of female/female fun—as well as scenes of abuse that are decidedly not fun.
Review by Paulina Woods
This was hands down one of the best post invasion/off world book I have read in a while. I loved the interaction between the characters and Little Saia steals your heart from the moment you meet her.
I went into this book knowing that there were going to be scenes of abuse and just hoped that they were not to detailed. They are but they are short and add to the story so its not like you can skip them. The rest of the book is so well written that I am happy I didn’t let the bad scenes detour me.
So what makes this book worth reading? The fact that JB is not a warrior or an alpha male in any way shape or form. As a matter of fact he would rather run from a fight or find a way to talk his way out of it. He travels the galaxy and for a time was a pirate along with a few other escaped human slaves.
This was a quick read, 1½ hours, but it wasn’t lacking in anything. A full story with rich characters and a great plot and even coming into this series on book four didn’t leave me feeling left out. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
